If you’re a dog or cat owner or are thinking of acquiring a new pet, definitely make plans to attend the May 17 LGNA meeting, 7:00 p.m. at Greenland Hills United Methodist Church.
Our good neighbor, Pet Supplies “Plus” will bring a bounty of information for maintaining your pet’s health and safety.
Pet-care professionals will answer your questions about your pet’s health in a Q&A session, and Pet Supplies “Plus” will bring goodie bags and discounts for all attendees.
Pet Supplies “Plus” regularly provides low-cost Pet Micro Chipping. At the May 17 LGNA meeting, Manager Bethani Pittman will explain what’s involved and why it makes good sense to “chip” your pet. Their next low-cost session is scheduled for Saturday, May 21.
Stephanie Bell from Merrick dog and cat foods will explain to meeting attendees the benefits of feeding a healthy, holistic/organic diet. Merrick recently received the Gold Award and was certified by the Glycemic Research Institute (GRI) as the 2005-2006 Pet Food of the Year.
GRI is an independent clinical testing facility, with no ties to the pet food industry and provides non-biased nutritional information. GRI has tested more than 10,000 foods over a 20-year period. The testing focuses upon anti-aging, diabetes, arthritis, glycemic response, blood glucose and insulin response.
Pet Supplies “Plus” is located at 6060 E. Mockingbird Lane (at Mockingbird & Skillman). PSP carries a full line of products for your pets and is most noted for its large selection of holistic and organic products for both dogs and cats. PSP continues to support its community through educational opportunities.
Adoption days are scheduled on the weekends, and a veterinarian provides low-cost vaccinations twice a month. On Saturday, May 21, 12:30-4:00 p.m. – Micro Chipping. $25 per pet, payable by check or cash only. All proceeds benefit the Dalmatian Rescue Group. Call 214-827-1248 to schedule your appointment.
